Block 6 - Laundry Basket Quilts Mystery Quilt Results

We’re here - the halfway mark! Block 6 from Laundry Basket Quilts is wrapped up. I’m getting nearer to the end of the first use of all my fabrics, but there’s still a few (dark and light blue especially) that haven’t yet been used. However, this week we’ve got more light blue, yea!

This week was a four patch made entirely of half square triangles. With alternating the placement, it made matching/nesting the seams easy and I didn’t do any glue basting. I did use the same method as I did with Block 4 and trimmed down.

I think the yellow block was my favorite this week - there was a little blue in the background material and they looked so pretty together.

I pulled the design wall out again so I could see where everything stood halfway through. The middle looks like it will be stunning and very bold. I’m also feeling better about the light blue standing out as I got more pieces in play. It is really starting to come together. What do you think?
