summer sampler 2019 fabric pull
ah, today was needed. it has been a long week.
however, a friend from high school who we found lives way closer to me than either of us thought. so, after i shared what the summer sampler 2019 quilt-a-long was with her, we put together a last minute trip to hamilton, mo to missouri star.
so, after xman’s chess tournament (he went 3-1 - we left before awards, so we are still waiting to see how he did), we loaded up and met her and the rest of our kiddo crew and got in a good shopping trip (which of course, was not long enough).
my two goals were to get my fabric pulled for my blocks and then a background for a batik quilt top (coming soon!). so, mission accomplished on both and i made the executive decision to go with the circle quilt top.
so, without further ado, my fabric pull for the summer sampler 2019 -
one thing i fell in love with was the original color scheme of the pattern. however, while i think they are beautiful, i have to have pattern in my material. so, my colors have pattern and the white, grey, and navy will be 100% solid.
what do you think of the pull? i was really happy with the results - it was a four person effort (me, my girlfriend, and two missouri star crew members) and together, we put together good roots for this one!
want to join in (still time, the quilt-a-long starts may 20) - go check out the the hostesses’ faith, katie, and lee websites! the instagram #summersampler2019 also has some great inspiration posted.
hope you all are having a great weekend!
